Our aim is always to provide a transparent cost structure to enable you to see clearly what you are paying us for.
We’re always happy to meet you and to discuss how we might be able to help you
We offer our prospective clients an initial meeting or discussion at our expense. This exploratory conversation is designed to help you understand how we can help you and what we might charge you for any work that we undertake. If you then go on to instruct us, something that will usually involve us spending time gathering information, conducting analysis and research and then preparing a report for you detailing our findings and/or advice, that’s when we start to charge.
Our initial advice fees
Our initial advice fee will typically range between £747 to £2,997 depending on the complexity of the work and the level of expertise required. This fee is payable at the point we present our written recommendations to you, either by invoice or offset against implementation costs.
We believe that charging in this way benefits both parties. For you it provides assurance that our advice is genuine and impartial because it doesn’t rely on a product sale. For us, because we’ll be paid fairly whether or not you accept our advice.
And, of course, should you decide to accept our advice and work with us, this fee is offset against any implementation costs, ensuring that you’re not double charged.
Implementation costs are levied on a reducing scale and start at 3% for the first £100k invested decreasing to 1% for investments over £300k.
For investments valued in excess of £1m fees can be negotiated on a case by case basis.
Whilst we charge fees for the majority of work that we undertake, it is possible that in some situations we may receive a commission from a product provider, for example when arranging a life assurance policy. Be assured that we will always disclose to you the amount of commission payable prior to you making an application.
Cost of ongoing services
Cost of ongoing services depends on the level of ongoing service required although our annual fee will typically be between 0.5% and 1% of assets under management.
