At work

Mark has over 19 years of industry experience, a degree in Financial Services and prestigious Chartered Status under his belt. Having joined Sovereign in 2009, he is now a Director as well as one of our Financial Planners.

Mark’s main areas of expertise include pensions, divorce and tax planning. He holds the pension transfer qualification, which allows him to advise clients with corporate pension structures. Mark also works closely with family lawyers on divorce cases and is an affiliate member of Resolution, the largest organisation of family lawyers in the UK. He is also a question writer for the Chartered Insurance Institute.

At home

You’ll often find Mark out and about enjoying the great outdoors with his wife and two children. He is an avid sports fan, both playing and watching, and enjoys his voluntary roles as Vice Chair of a school governing body and football coach of a local junior football club.

The important stuff

All regulated financial advisers must be authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and therefore appear on their register. You can find Mark’s entry here.

Furthermore, all advisers must have an up-to-date Statement of Professional Standing (SPS). This shows they are suitably qualified and have carried out the required amount of Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
